Since we where in Oregon, Amy wanted to see fireworks. I always like to shoot fireworks and try different locales in the Bay area, often to be killed off by fog. This fireworks show was in a small town and advertisers paid for shells so they did the show in 2 parts. Part one - they read a blurb and then launched the sponsered shell; part two - a traditional display. So while part one sounds boring, how often do you go to a fireworks display, get a tripod spot on the top of the bleachers, and they announce then launch each firework individually so you know exactly when to open and close the shutter. While the anouncer said "yes its a little slow" this pays for the main display. I was in heaven getting each shot timed perfectly. Check out the gallery.
